Mt. Qianshan

Mount Qianshan, located southeast of Anshan, is one of the three famous mountains in northeast China. The Terrace of Immortals, the main peak of the mountain, is over 700 meters above sea level. The Qianshan Mountain (meaning "a thousand peaks" in Chinese) got its name from the nearly 1,000 peaks. Some of them look like crouching lions and tigers, some like sleeping elephants and coiled dragons. As early as Sui and Tang Dynasties the mountain was the location for temple, and later became a center of Buddhist and Taoist temples. The forest-clad mountain abounds with scenic spots and historical sites. It is a tourist attraction in east Liaoning Province well known for the "towering peaks, step rocks and ancient temples".

Jade Buddha Park

Jade buddha Park is located in the Dongshan Scenic Spot covering an area of 46 thousand square meters it is surrounded by hills in three directions and faces lakes. It is made up of the Jade Belt Bridge, the Bloom and Fruit Island, the Monastery Gate, the Imperial Road,the Platform, the Scripture Pillars, the Jade Buddha Temple£¬the Partial Halls and galleries. Its unique scenic beauty and human landscapes make the Buddha Culture, Jade Culture and Ancient Architecture Culture mixed harmoniously. It has become an artistic treasure of global ancient architectures.
Inside the temple seated the biggest jade buddla in the world. It was carved from one piece of jade stone weighing 260.76 tons which was found in Xiuyan County, the famous "Hometown of Jade", on July 22, 1960. The jade stone is 7.95m high, 6.88m wide and 4.10m thick. The Jade was carved into a sakyamuni in front and an Avalokitesvara at the back. Many enchanting and legendary events happened during the carving of the Jade Buddha. It makes many vistors at home and abroad linger on and gasp in admirtion.

Tanggangzi Spring Convalescent Hospital

Tanggangzi Spring Convalescent hospital, located in 15km south of the city proper, is one of the four biggest recuperation centers in China. It covers an area of 650 thousand square meters. The spring water is transparent, tasteless with temperture 72`C. It contains potassium, magnesium, hydrogen, sodium and other more than 30 types of elements. The mixture of spring water and hot sludge using with massage, acupuncture, wax treatment and photoelectric treatment can produce good results for rheumatoid arthritis, dartre and tramatic hangovers. Its environment is beautiful in a unique style. The Dragon Spring Palace where Puyi, the last emperor of China once stayed and the Dragon Palace Villa which was built by Zhang Zuolin, a Northeastern warlord£¬are well protected. It is now turned into a recuperation and tourism resort.

Eryijiu Park

Eryijiu Park is one of the few parks with natural hills and waters in our country. It is located in the east of the city proper and was built in 1950. It was named after the Liberation Day of Anshan, Feb 19, 1948. The whole area is 78 hectares and include flower cellars ,children playgrounds, flowers and plants area, resting districts, animal parks and aquatic sports area, etc. It attracts several millions of domestic and overseas visitors.

Baiyunshan Mountain

Baiyunshan Mountain Scenic Area is located in the Songsezi Village, the Manggou Village, the Qinjiabuzi Village and the Gushan village, Gushan Town Haicheng City. It is about 45 km away from Haicheng City. The total scenic area is 25 square kilometers, with over 400 hills. The Tangmao mountain is 876 meters high, standing in the east of the scenic area. the White Ape Cave in legend was on the top of the Tangmaoshan Mountain and there are three layers of manmade terrace, sitting on it one will have a feeling of sudden flying as if in a fairyland. In the mountains, there are many kinds of rare animals and plants. Now it has been listed as a natural protection area of Haicheng City.

Yaoshan Mountain

Yaoshan Mountain is a offshoot of Qianshan Mountain Range, 60 kms south of Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County. It is one of the four famous mountains of Liaoning Province in history and it is now a Provincial Scenic Area. It is famous for its rich medical herbs and breathtaking scenary. There are over fifty unique hills and have human cultural spots, that are divided into five scenic areas of Old City Top, Qinghua Temple, Pear Blossom Bed, Stone Flower Top, and Old Battlefield with more than 80 scenes. Some of the scenes were destroyed before and they are being retored now. There are plentiful animal and plant resources which include more than 600 types of plants, 200 plus types of medical herbs such as ringed pheasants, wood pecker, wild boars and foxes, etc. In the latest several years of developing, Yaoshan scenic zone has increased its reception ability considerablely.

Xiping Forestry Park

Xiping Forestry Park is located in the northestern part of Taian, 19 kilometres from the town, 3 kilometers from birthplace of General Zhang Xueliang. It is a provincial grade forestry park and provincial grade natural protection area. Its total area is 4333 hectares and the ratio of forest and vegetation coverage are 70% and 85% respectively with 4333 hectares of forest. There are some types of rare animals and plants out of its more than 100 types of xylophyta and one thousand kinds of wild animals. Xiping Forestry Park is a beautiful place not to miss.
